In 1937, the Kaczka family, coming from Berlin, reached Uruguay. Isaac and Mery Kaczka, together with their three sons, Jose, Leo and Dagoberto,managed to escape from the German genocide and decided to settle down in Uruguay, generous country that opened its doors to emigrants.

A new history began for this family. Having reached with their empty hands, without knowledge of the language, began their business activities as distributors of leathers, business they well knew from their German native country.

Afterwards, they became a leather store, selling articles and accessories for the Eláter Industry, business they developed for a very long period. Afterwards, they became importers and distributors of raw material for the shoe and leather industry, activity they are still working on.

During the years 1975 up to 1980 the export shoe industry faced a very hard economic crisis, therefore, the Kaczka family decided to import and distribute foodstuff. A new generation was introduced in the business, and new activities began, import and distribution of electrical accessories, houseware products, camping products, etc. etc.

All the above represents SADAN S.A. nowadays, keeping present the history of the company and opening new ways by the new generations.
